Review from a wheelchair user who stayed at the hotel

The building in which the hotel is located is one minute from JR Gotanda Station’s central ticket gate. There are no steps all the way to the front desk on the third floor. The hotel is directly connected to the station, so you can stay dry in rainy weather. The hotel provided excellent access to nearby attractions, shopping, and restaurants, and I had no problem exploring the area around the station in my wheelchair.

My check-in at the self check-in terminal was smooth, and the front desk staff explained everything clearly. The amenity bar next to the front desk was set up to allow for easy viewing from a wheelchair user’s perspective, and I was able to select what I wanted without assistance. I was impressed with how flexible the front desk staff was in handling any situation, such as when they came over to explain how to use the card key as I was getting on the elevator.

The Premium Twin (Universal) room was located on the fourth floor, a lower level, near the elevator hall. The location of the Premium Twin (Universal) room makes it easier to evacuate in the event of a fire or other disaster. The room was 30㎡ and felt spacious, with the bathroom and toilet in separate rooms. I appreciated that the rental equipment to help me get bathed was already set up for me. The windows were also low, so I could see the neon lights in front of the station, buses, and other outside scenery. Despite being so close to the station, the room was rather quiet.

The TV in the room showed the level of crowding in the hotel restaurant, which was helpful. Breakfast is served at CARROLL, a New York-style café/restaurant that offers selectable daily specials and a buffet of fresh vegetables. The tables close to the staff were located near the entrance. The staff helped me use the salad/drink bar and made me feel like I was being looked after in a professional manner.
